Lo ha intentado con drones, globos,\u00a0sat\u00e9lites, etc, pero la nueva idea de la compa\u00f1\u00eda es\u00a0<strong>hacerlo a trav\u00e9s de la cl\u00e1sica y confiable fibra \u00f3ptica.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si bien los despliegues de fibra son tremendamente caros, sobre todo en lo que a su localizaci\u00f3n en zonas remotas se refiere, la compa\u00f1\u00eda ha encontrado una forma de instalar grandes cantidades de fibra sin necesidad de crear infraestructura para ello, utilizando una ya preexistente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo? Utilizando en tendido el\u00e9ctrico,\u00a0<strong>una infraestructura m\u00e1s extendida y disponible en todo el mundo<\/strong>, incluso en pa\u00edses en v\u00edas de desarrollo. La idea de Facebook es la siguiente: utilizar un robot aut\u00f3nomo que, unido al tendido el\u00e9ctrico, utilice los cables existente para poner sobre ellos una instalaci\u00f3n de fibra \u00f3ptica y llevar puntos de conexi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FEngineering%2Fvideos%2F320046849029260%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Este robot de Facebook permite cubrir grandes distancias sin inversiones relevantes en infraestructuras y por un costo tremendamente reducido, de forma semi-desatendida y aut\u00f3noma.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00f3gicamente, los tendidos el\u00e9ctricos llevan mucho voltaje de hasta 35 kV,\u00a0<strong>lo que puede causar fen\u00f3menos de degradaci\u00f3n que afecten a la l\u00ednea<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de soportar temperaturas elevadas; muy por encima las tolerancias los cables de fibra \u00f3ptica, cambios t\u00e9rmicos y la vibraci\u00f3n e\u00f3lica inducida por el viento. Para ello, Facebook y sus socios han dise\u00f1ado un cable que utiliza fibras G.657 de 200 micras con una configuraci\u00f3n de aramida  (fibra sint\u00e9tica, robusta y resistente al calor\u00a0) especialmente dise\u00f1ada para el proyecto y una cubierta de pol\u00edmero de alta resistencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/engineering.fb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Electrical-System.jpg\" alt=\"Making aerial fiber deployment faster and more efficient by deploying fiber on live electrical grid lines\" width=\"591\" height=\"333\"\/><figcaption>Planta de energ\u00eda -> <br>transmisi\u00f3n de alta tensi\u00f3n en l\u00ednea -> subestaci\u00f3n de distribuci\u00f3n -> <br>l\u00ednea de distribuci\u00f3n de voltaje medio -> <br>l\u00ednea de distribuci\u00f3n de voltaje bajo<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan la compa\u00f1\u00eda, el costo de desplegar la fibra proviene casi en su totalidad de la construcci\u00f3n, sobre todo al ser un proyecto enfocado a los pa\u00edses con v\u00edas de desarrollo.
